Charlotte Marionneau and Theo Hall phone it in from London, England. Started as a series of home-recorded improvisations with long-time friend Kevin Shields(!), Charlotte went on to record a full-length for Honest Jon's that stretched in a number of different stylistic directions, always anchored by her fragile tunes. Like Mazzy Star (whose Hope Sandoval and David Roback contributed to the album, along with Shields and Colm O Ciosoig) played by children, and I mean that in the best possible sense. Songs imbued with wonder and tinged with fear, like staring down the rabbit hole. Let it be known, we love Le Volume Courbe!
