Don Lennon (ex-Umpteens, aka the 'Endless Upteens') and Brian Marchese (School for the Dead, Sitting Next to Brian) phone it in from Northampton, MA. Like fellow Boston ex-pat Jonathan Richman, Don's tunes are blessed with irrepressible hum-ability, wonderful simplicity, and understated genius. That he isn't world famous like Jens Lekman (though he has toured Australia with Youth Group and Darren Hanlon) is nothing short of criminal; both share sonorous voices, and the ability to make you laugh and cry within the same song, if not the same verse.

How one man can wring so much pathos out of so much sarcasm remains an elegant mystery. Or maybe it's all deadly serious, who knows? Either way, you won't be able to get it out of your head.
