'Free twee' duo Katherine Plummer and William Hardy phone it in from Towson, MD. The 'free twee' moniker (coined by KDVS's own DJ Rick, it turns out) would seem lazy, if it weren't so apt, though live the Beat-Happening-meets-Dead-C/K-Recs-meets-Siltbreeze tendencies are more subdued. Beautiful, yearning vocals buried under lazily strummed dirge-y/drone-y guitars. Real slow-burners. Familiar and yet apart, lonely pop music for cave-dwellers and miscreants.
